Kapurpurawan Rock Formation

A Natural Rock Formation
In Ilocano, “Kapurpurawan” or "puraw" means white. Most of the rocks formations are shaded by sparkling white in color. This beautiful tourist spot was created by forces of wind, water and waves from the ocean. In Science, it is a sedimentary rock formed by sedimentation, where the deposition of particles carried by fluid flow, created rocks on diff. shapes and formations.
We are blessed for this amazing work of nature. Looking those rock formations and the big oceans took away all stress. It’s always feels good and relaxing to be in this place. The breath-taking scenery of the ocean adds beauty of the place.

Photo taken at the rear of our van.
After our short visit at Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, Kapurpurawan Rock Formation was our next destination. We rode by van because be rented it for the whole day trip (P3,500 minimum of 4 people). As we went to the drop off area, we saw some windmills which were simply amazing as their turbines were turning slowly.

Taking my first picture with some windmills as the background.
I was flabbergasted to what I saw for the first time in my life. I couldn't believe that I'd be seeing some windmills there. Because of that, I took some pictures of them.

This windmill was the nearest in the drop off area for the tourists.

Stairs going down with the sea view
You would have to take the stairs to go down first before you could see the rock formations. But if you prefer to go horseback riding going there, then you would have to take the other route.
Taking a picture of the place before going downstairs.
We decided to take the stairs because we would love to go trekking going there.

REMINDER AGAIN! So, have it REMEMBERED!
Windmills behind the thorny plants.
While walking, you would encounter an area with a lot of  plants with thorns so you need an extra precaution to avoid injuries. It's a short passageway of thorny plants leading to the rocks.

Some Souvenir Shops
After walking the passageway of thorny plants, you would see these shops. You can buy different things from here. Of course, the windmills could still be seen from behind.

Taking a solo picture after walking far.
From the drop off area, down to the stairs, through the thorny passageway, and the souvenir shops, presenting to you my first solo picture.

Some tourists were riding a horse instead of trekking.
People were taking turns in having some pictures of the statue of a man riding a crocodile.
I wanted to take a picture alone with the statue but wait... there were a lot people so I decided to continue my trekking and I said to myself that I would just go back there again later.

My Second Solo Picture
The picture above shows a rocky mountain with some windmills behind. Oh, I forgot to say that it was very sunny and very hot during that time. As you can see, the sky's clear blue.

Group picture 'coz I'm not alone!
Yes, I couldn't afford myself going to such a wonderful place like this if I'm alone. They were actually my companions. The one who took us this picture was our chauffeur. Thanks to him because he assisted us all the way in our journey.

Who'd like to take pictures of this rock besides me when it's a very hot day? Anyone?
I can really feel the rock and of course the heat of the sun. (34 degrees)

Yeah, good thing there was this big rock which provided us some shelter even for a short period of time. We couldn't take longer the heat of the sun as it touched our skin. We would have been baked under the sun if we stayed more.
