Tagaytay City - People's Park in the Sky

View from the highest peak of Tagaytay City, the People's Park in the Sky.
The People's Park in the Sky also known as simply People's Park is a historical urban park in Tagaytay, Cavite,Philippines.
(en.wikipedia.org)

From Manila to Tagaytay City, it takes about 2 hours by bus.
(From: Coastal Mall Metro Bus Station, Coastal Mall Terminal Road, Parañaque, Metro Manila
To: Tagaytay, Cavite.)
We told the bus conductor that we are heading to People's Park so we stopped at a place where we could take the jeepney going there.
There are two options to go there:
1. Ride a tricycle - Going to People's Park was a little bit far so we didn't take this option because the fee going there is high or expensive. So, we took the second option.
2. Ride a jeepney - Yes, there was a jeepney terminal that would travel in the said place. As far as I remembered, the bus driver stopped us in a place where we could ride some jeepneys going the the park. It was just walking distance away from the bus stop. It seemed that the jeepney terminal was inside in an enclosed area. People prefer to go by jeepney because it was cheap. The fare was just P17 (as of May 2015.)
Outside the main gate of the park.
After riding the jeepney, we arrived here at the highest peak in Tagaytay City in the province of Cavite - also known as the People's Park. It was around 11am and the sun was releasing much radiation. Who would have thought that it would be a very sunny day and a hot day as well. I thought it's cooler when you're in higher place but it's not. We visited there last 17th of May, 2015. April and May are the summer months of the Philippines. So, during these months, the temperature increases. Yeah! and it was 34°  during that time. It's like you will be cooked under the heat of the sun. It would be better to wear a bonnet, a hat, or bring an umbrella with you.
Picture taking before getting inside the gate.
The stunning view of Tagaytay city is seen from behind

ENTRANCE
People were in queue as they pay the entrance fee.
Before getting inside the place, one must pay the amount of thirty pesos as of May, 2015.
Picture taking at the main gate with the signage of People's Park written in a tarpaulin.
That gate where I am standing to is not the entrance for visitors, it was provided for the vehicles. Private vehicles and some jeepneys could pass through here.

In the picture, the personnel in charge of the place inspects the visitors whether they have ticket or not.

NO TICKET NO ENTRY POLICY!

It is clearly stated here that throwing out any objects on the ground also known as littering will be penalized.

GOING UP
In order to arrive at the highest peak, one must walk this uphill road or perhaps ride all the way up with your car.

I just wanna feel this moment! (zoom please)
While walking, I saw this very wonderful scenery of Tagaytay City. It was indeed fascinating.

Since climbing up is somehow tiring, you can take a rest here. It seemed that the architectural design is a Greek style. This is also a stop point where the people do not only take a rest but also take some pictures of the surrounding and enjoy the green scenery as far as your eyes can see.

Taking a selfie before starting to climb up again.
I'm sorry for this picture. I forgot to shave my mustache and beard because I had a long trip before we came here.
I didn't have an ample time to do such thing as shaving. After our Ilocos trip, we travelled back to Manila and arrived there at 8am and we took a little rest at my friends house for three hours from (8am - 11am). After that, we changed our clothes and went to Tagaytay city. We didn't get enough rest because the trip going back to Manila was almost 10 hours and I can't sleep well inside the bus. The bus departed from Ilocos at around 8pm. Therefore, we travelled during the night. Though I looked haggard here, I still managed to enjoy the place.
I'm rating this place as two arms up. two hands up or the like.
Now that I have gained some of my energy back after resting a little while, I'm ready to climb up again.

The next stop point to take another rest is over there with the same architectural design.

No matter how tired I am here, I need to reach the top.
So, I've decided to wear a striped collared shirt of blue and white, a bonnet, shorts, shoes for hiking and black socks. PERFECT for me!

Another amazing view from behind while still climbing up.
Some people were resting at the second stop.
Getting at the top!
Here were some of the things I saw when I was on the highest point already.
There were some cottages at P100. You can eat here, bring any food but you must not throw your rubbish after. Remember, they do have litter fines. At some point, we must be responsible in our waste. They do really maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
This place is an open theater with a stage. I wonder if  they still use it for entertainment.
I have seen one like this when I was staying at the Baluarte in Vigan City
This is a small horse called pony. It's for picture taking purposes only. That means to say you would have to pay P20 to ride on it's back while the horse is still or not moving and get unlimited pictures.
Riding on it's back.
Feeling young while riding the pony

People can see this magestic view from the viewing area.

Taal volcano, the smallest volcano in the Philippines is seen from here.
Comment below if you know the name of that mountain over there.

It's like an open theatre inspired by Greek architecture.

    1. Exactly! I've heard that this place was built during the Marcos Era. There was an unfinished mansion there adjacent to the stage.

Nung pumunta kasi kami doon, Una, pumunta kami ng people's park. Pagkatapos, pumunta kami sa skyranch. Mga humigit kumulang P1000 po nagasto ko papunta doon kasama na po yung food, fare, at tsaka souvenir po.
